the Spirit of Appalachia, Inc., Appalachian Homestead Farm & Preserve, two
non-profit heritage organizations and the Jackson County Recreation & Parks
Department are intent upon presenting to the public the many talents of our
local & regional artists and crafters. We establishied this Patchwork Fabric
Festival to forever honor and preserve our local talents and to assist in
providing a sales outlet directed to and for showcasing our unique mountain
heritage.
Traditional dress will be
worn by all. At this festival, you will find handmade fabric arts
and crafts, i.e. quilting (hand or machine), weaving, knitting, tatting,
crochetteing, sewing (clothing, dolls), works of art.
On Saturday the festivities start at 9 am at
the Jackson County Recreation Center, with fabric arts and crafts booths inside
the gym and food tent booths outside the facility. Foods will be presented by
local churches and/or civic groups.

Fabric Festival, which proved to be a big successs, bringing visitors from 4
states.
