Within this website my sister and I are sharing our
stories of growing up in Appalachia, through the written word and through art.
We hope to plant a sense of belonging, to be a role model of "can do"for
the children and to encourage the adults to remember and save their heritage! We
are demonstrating through storytelling the positive and awesome power of
knowing, valuing and honoring your roots so you can blossom today! As our
fathers and mothers before us, we are expressing our need to be pioneers in our
new world, walking the trail made and packed down by the footsteps of those who
came before.
The Spirit of
Appalachia lives within it's people.

The Spirit of Appalachia rests within
it's softly curving mountains, it's wild creatures, the green of
abundant forests and it saturates the smallest satin petal of every
blossom.
